Direct Billing

DIRECT BILLING available for Massage Therapy & Acupuncture Services 
If you have private insurance coverage, we may be able to submit your claim to your insurance company on your behalf. In most cases we get paid directly by your insurance company, so you don’t have to worry about paying out of pocket*

What do we need from you? 

Your Insurance Information: Policy / Contract / Group No. & Member ID / Certificate No.
These numbers can be found on your insurance card

Bring your insurance card to your first visit.
We will scan it and store it on your confidential patient file.

Fill out our Direct Billing Intake form before your first visit.
If you are already a patient and have not been sent a form, contact us and  we will happily email it to you.

*You will be required to provide us with a valid credit card to store securely in your patient file. 
Your card will be charged for any amount your plan does not cover.
To avoid surprises, call your insurance provider & find out the details specific to your company’s plan. Here are some helpful questions to ask them:

Does my plan allow for direct billing?

What services am I covered for?  
(massage, reflexology, acupuncture, osteopath etc.)

What is my annual coverage amount?

Is there a yearly deductible that I should know about?

How much am I covered for per visit?

Do I require a medical prescription for my visit? 
(More & more companies require a Doctor’s note for you to use your coverage)
Important things to note about direct billing:

We cannot always guarantee that your claim will go through. If we are unable to submit your claim:
1.  You will be required to pay in full for your appointment
2.  We will electronically submit your claim once the portal is back up and running
3.  We will instruct your insurance company to send the payment directly to you)

Every insurance policy is different. Due to confidentiality, insurance companies will not share information with us about your specific coverage.

In MOST cases, we are only able to submit to your primary insurance coverage. There are 2 exceptions to this.
1.   Your secondary insurance coverage is through Green Shield Canada.
2.   Both your Primary AND Secondary coverage are with Canada Life (formerly GWL)
